Turbo compressor based refrigerating units from PRIMEHOLOD

Energy-efficient turbo compressors provide big refrigerating capacity due to high speed of shaft rotation (15000 - 40000 rotation per minute). Applying turbo compressors helps to increase the energy efficiency of the refrigeration circuit. Firstly,, the compression process itself has higher efficiency coefficient in a turbo compressor. Secondly, there is no friction in magnetic bearings that means no need in spending energy to bear it down. Thirdly, such compressors have comparatively small size and weight that also leads to decrease of consumed power. As a result energy consumption becomes 30% - 50% smaller compared to
standard reciprocating compressors.

Energy efficiency of turbo compressors becomes even more visible when the conditioning system works in part load mode (and it works in such mode almost always). The comparative study of performance coefficients of spiral and turbo compressors showed that in 50% load the turbo compressor coefficient is 75% higher.

Engine refrigeration is performed by a coolant. Freon gets into a compressor and cools both electronic and mechanic components providing high operation efficiency and safety. Size and weight of a turbo compressor with 200 kW refrigeration capacity is comparable to a spiral processor with only 70 kW capacity.
Turbo compressors has 1.5-2.6 times higher coefficient of refrigeration capacity per unit volume occupied by themselves than any other compressor type. A turbo compressor shows 4-5 times bigger capacity than other types in the same weight.

Currently turbo compressors are installed on refrigerating units with minimum 300kW refrigeration capacity. The dimensions of a turbo compressor are 2-3 times smaller than dimensions of helical compressors of the same capacity. The dimensions of chiller it uses (the base area) is also 20-40% smaller. Turbo compressors also have smaller weight compared to all other compressor types.

The energy consumption of turbo compressors is 30% lower in average than energy consumption of analogues. The refrigeration efficiency that utilizes only the compressor working power is more than 5.1.
