Liquid chilling plants from PRIMEHOLOD
Liquid chilling plants are used for cooling liquids - water and non-freezing water solutions in temperatures from 0 to -40°С (propylene glycol, ethylene glycol, alcohol, salts).
 Liquids as intermediate coolants are widely used in food, chemical, pharmaceutical, medical, metallurgical industries and other areas, as well as in air conditioning systems.Such refrigerating systems consist of refrigerating module, hydraulic unit, control and management panels. They can also include intermediate coolant module that is usually required for refrigeration, when there is a risk of heat-exchange unit defrost.
These systems are also used in fuzzy drinks production and for cooling the water before saturation (in order to exchanger increase solubility of carbon dioxide). The systems are adapted for operation together with consumers (saturators) working in continuous or cyclic liquid intake.
There are a few types of liquid refrigeration units:
-film-type
-with panel heat exchanger
-with tube-in-shell heat exchanger
-with plate heat exchanger
The operating principle of film-type liquid cooler:
The water is pumped into the top distributing tray and flows along the plain panels with a coolant boiling inside (Freon, ammonia). During the process of heat exchange the water is cooled down to +0,5°С and is collected in the bottom tray. It is taken to technological units from there.

Film-type panel heat exchangers are used to cool the water to the temperatures close to 0°С, shell-and-tube apparatus can cool the water to +4-5°С.
